I found this when i was dropping items off at Catholic Charities. It has about 10 layers of paint and had been modified to have a lift up top. This piece stayed with me for years, as it was such a great workhorse desk, with its "secret" lift up top. As I stripped away the layers, old colors stayed within the grain which gave it a great patina and finish. I chose to pain a few elements white to make them pop, but loved the imperfections, so just finished with a danish oil.
