As I constantly move furniture around and edit pieces in my place, I look for pieces that can be versatile, and that I am not afraid to change down the road. This sideboard/ dresser is that "workhorse" piece. First, the height and width are perfect for a bedroom, entry way, dining room, nursery...whatever. Heck, I am already thinking of it's next life! BUT for now I needed something to replace my Danish Mod bureau and chose a crisp white to keep it simple for now. I thoroughly plan to move it from room to room and know it will evolve with time!
Location of find: Arlington, MA
Adventures: I had never explored Arlington's side streets, and there are many charming little homes on tree-lined streets. The owner of this bureau was downsizing and it had been in her room as a child. It was in good shape, besides being filthy, and someone had reworked the frame to add casters. At first I hated this look, but the rounded skirt almost hides them, and having a piece like this on casters is fabulous!
