Tis the season to do small gestures to let those you care about.... INDULGE! Every year I try to adhere to homemade Christmas, much to the dismay of my friends I am sure. I think because I am an only child, I never really dwelled on the present aspect of the holiday, but rather the big family and holiday chaos I yearned for. Generally I find all the office sweets delivered nauseating, but a smidgen of dark chocolate, seasalt peppermint bark is a nice treat, especially when frozen!
The recipe is uber simple:
Melt Ghirardelli Chocolate and White Bakers Chocolate
Spread onto wax lined cookie sheet
Add swirl of white chocolate and use toothpick to make flairs
Sprinkle seasalt on top
Crush candy canes, and also spinkle on top
Let cool in freezer
Break into bark pieces
Details: For boxes I reused my Birch Boxes, and painted the lids white (hiding the label) I then used Micron pens to embellish and draw silly little messages.
Cost: $35 for all ingredients, striped bags. Boxes, paint, tree cut out tags- free!
